He later followed his passion for law by obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of London and began his career as an advocate and solicitor. He subsequently completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of London. Continuing his academic pursuits on a part-time basis at the University of Malaya, he was eventually awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in construction law. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-end=\"1178\" data-start=\"615\"\u003eHe was the inaugural first prize recipient of the Vincent Powell-Smith Competition in Construction Law organised by the Society of Construction Law, Malaysia. Over the years, he has authored more than 20 legal articles published in academic journals and has served as a part-time law lecturer at the University of Malaya.
