A decade ago, significant legislation such as the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Protection from Harassment Act (PHA) had only recently been introduced and brought into operation. At that time, there was relatively little case law available, with only a limited number of cases, particularly those concerning the former provisions on modesty under the Penal Code. Since then, the legal landscape has changed considerably. An extensive body of case law has developed under both the PDPA and PHA, while the Penal Code has also been updated, including through the introduction of additional protections relating to privacy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis book provides an introduction to this rapidly developing area of law. In relation to data protection, it is intended to complement, rather than replace, the comprehensive and authoritative guidelines published by the Personal Data Protection Commission.
