The Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982 (Act 267) is an act of the Parliament of Malaysia that provides for the planning, development, and management of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan. The act was first enacted in 1982 and has been amended several times since then, with the most recent amendments made on 1st November 2012.

The act provides for the establishment of the Federal Territory Planning Committee, which is responsible for preparing and reviewing the development plans for the Federal Territory. The committee is chaired by the Minister of Federal Territories and consists of representatives from various government agencies and stakeholders.

Under the act, the development plans for the Federal Territory must be in accordance with the national development policies and guidelines, and must take into account the economic, social, and environmental factors. The plans must also be subject to public consultation and approval by the Minister of Federal Territories.

The act also provides for the establishment of the Federal Territory Land Executive Committee, which is responsible for the management and administration of the land in the Federal Territory. The committee is chaired by the Minister of Federal Territories and consists of representatives from various government agencies.

In addition, the act provides for the regulation and control of land use and development in the Federal Territory. It requires developers to obtain planning permission before undertaking any development activities and empowers the relevant authorities to enforce compliance with the planning regulations.

The act also establishes a system of development charges, which are payable by developers for the right to develop their land. The charges are intended to help fund the infrastructure and amenities necessary to support development in the Federal Territory.

Overall, the Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982 (Act 267) provides a comprehensive framework for the planning, development, and management of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan. Its provisions are intended to ensure that development in the Federal Territory is sustainable, well-planned, and responsive to the needs of the community.
