This homegrown encyclopaedia provides an extensive compendium of precedents to facilitate the creation of pleadings and other associated court documents that are thorough and sound since proper pleadings are the foundation of a successful claim presented to court. Each issue starts with a commentary that gives a brief explanation of the essential legal principles and, where appropriate, explicit instructions on how to plead. The thorough comprehension of the relevant law provided by the commentaries significantly improves the drafting process based on the vast number of precedents available in the publication.

The commentary has been updated in this edition to reflect changes in legislation and case law, and where necessary, the precedents have been changed. Four additional themes have been added to the list of topics covered, including Economic Torts, Landlord and Tenant, Sabah and Sarawak Limitation Ordinances, and Native Customary Rights.

This publication, which was based on the renowned UK Bullen & Leake & Jacob's Precedents of Pleadings, has become the first source of information for civil practitioners when drafting pleadings. It is unquestionably the most sought-after handbook on pleading for all Malaysian practitioners and contains the combined wisdom of more than 50 experienced practitioners from both mainstream and specialty areas of practise.

If you need a trustworthy and well-written sample precedent for a statement of claim, defence, reply, affidavit-in-support, consent order, or other court document required for your conduct of a case in court, look no further than Bullen & Leake & Jacob's Malaysian Precedents of Pleadings.
