Khaw on Copyright Law is a comprehensive and in-depth examination of each aspect of copyright law. The provisions of the Copyright Act 1987 are studied and explained in each of the sections with reference to local case law, when accessible, and case law from other jurisdictions where local cases are unavailable.
Khaw on Copyright Law's fourth edition provides a comprehensive analysis of legislative and judicial changes in Malaysian copyright law. The modifications brought about by the Copyright (Amendment) Act 2012 are reviewed in depth, and judicial decisions interpreting the provisions of the Copyright Act 1987 since the previous edition's publication are also examined.
In several cases, this included re-evaluating existing remarks and revising the appropriate sections. This fourth edition includes a distinct chapter on Copyright and the Internet as a result of the impact of current computing technology on copyright law, especially as jurisprudence in this area of the law is still in its infancy in this country.
