Intellectual Property Law: Trademarks is a comprehensive guide designed to help readers grasp and navigate the evolving landscape of trademark protection in Malaysia. Thoughtfully written to align with the latest updates under the Trademarks Act 2019, the book bridges the divide between legal theory and practical implementation, making it an essential tool for professionals dealing with intellectual property.
From trademark eligibility and registration procedures to enforcement measures, criminal implications, and emerging challenges in the digital age, this volume sheds light on critical issues in a rapidly changing field. It also provides valuable insight into Malaysia’s commitments under major international treaties such as the Madrid Protocol and the Paris Convention, giving readers both domestic and international context.
More than just a legal text, the book includes practical guidance, real-world examples, and expert commentary on key Malaysian and global trademark cases. Whether you are a legal practitioner, intellectual property advisor, in-house counsel, policymaker, academic, or law student, this resource delivers both the in-depth knowledge and hands-on guidance required to stay informed and effective in the field.
