In today’s rapidly developing world, the growth of infrastructure, commercial buildings, factories, schools, and residential properties is governed by construction law, which regulates and oversees the implementation of construction activities. The intricate nature of construction projects and contracts frequently leads to disputes that require formal resolution. Given the substantial financial investments involved, such disputes are often prolonged and involve complex, interconnected legal issues.

Construction law encompasses a wide range of legal principles and subject areas. Its expanding scope makes it challenging to define its precise boundaries. This book serves as a comprehensive reference for practitioners in the field. With its extensive coverage, it stands as an essential source of knowledge on construction law. Comprising 46 carefully organized chapters, the book delivers thorough and practical analysis of relevant legal principles and industry practices.

Authored by an experienced construction law specialist, the book offers insightful discussion supported by both local and international case law, as well as standard industry contract forms and guidelines. Across two volumes, it provides a detailed explanation of the legal framework and its real-world application. Numerous cases are clearly summarized to illustrate how legal doctrines are applied in practice.

This publication is indispensable for architects, quantity surveyors, claims consultants, construction lawyers, developers, contractors, arbitrators, lecturers, and students engaged in the study or practice of construction law.
