About the Author(s):

Leong Wai Kum was the first graduate from the newly founded Faculty of Law at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur to join the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore as a lecturer in 1976. She holds a postgraduate qualification from Harvard University and has devoted her career to the advancement of family law in Singapore, authoring numerous works in this field.
