About the Authors:

Sarah Derrington is Head of School and Dean of Law at the TC Beirne School of Law, University of Queensland. She also practises as a barrister at Quadrant Chambers in Brisbane, specialising in maritime and shipping law.

James Turner QC is a barrister at Quadrant Chambers and a specialist in shipping and commercial law. Appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2013, he has more than 20 years of experience as an advocate.
