This book seeks to explain the background and various provisions of the PWD 203A and 203 forms of contract that are widely used for public sector construction and increasingly for private sector civil engineering construction as well. It provides a comprehensive and practical commentary, giving a clause-by-clause analysis of the contracts. The commentary concentrates on the interpretation of all the clauses, from both the legal and operational aspects. It also identifies pitfalls to be avoided.
The law stated in the book is up-to-date to August 2004 and includes the recent Court Appeal decision in Thye Hin Enterprises Sdn Bhd v Daimler Chrysler Malaysia Sdn Bhd 5 AMR 562.
