Drafting and enforcing international commercial contracts for the sale of goods involves a wide range of practical challenges. Global Commercial Contracts offers a clear yet thorough overview of these issues, as well as the influence of key international instruments on such agreements.

The book introduces the core principles of international law relevant to commercial contracts and explains their real-world implications. It examines the impact of the Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts (PICC), drawing attention to the distinctions between them. In addition, it discusses other important instruments, including the UN Convention on the Use of Electronic Communications in International Commercial Contracts, the UN Convention on Limitation, Incoterms® 2020, UCP 600, and URDG 750. The complex issue of conflict of laws is also explored in a clear and accessible manner.

Addressing all key aspects of international contracts—particularly those involving the sale of goods—this book covers topics from contract formation and interpretation to dispute resolution. It serves as a much-needed introductory guide to this essential subject.
